This morning we confirmed the fitment of parts that no longer requires cutting or welding pieces. The fuel rail issue is solved by using 6G74/3000GT Fuel Rails with a modified 6G74 lower intake manifold; port shape and sizing at top flange is identical between MIVEC and 6G74 manifolds. The coolant crossover pipe no longer needs to be cut and welded to make it fit. We have verified the fitment of the 6G74 crossover pipe with the MIVEC cylinder heads. This also resolves the distributor mounting location from the left bank (front facing), to the usual placement in the right bank (rear facing) Although the distributor mounting is changed and allows a cleaner result, it still requires a custom mounting plate to accommodate the MIVEC system in the right bank cylinder head. This piece we have already shared some information on in previous posts.
Though there were others before us to perform this swap, they allowed the opportunity for BHM to build upon it and perfect it.
