At first glance this may appear to be just another MAF Adapter on the market, but we assure you this particular MAF Adapter is nothing like any of them. With careful research and engineering we have once again delivered enthusiasts a product to truly maximize their intake system performance.
With every product that we make it is our goal to ensure it will provide the best performance and quality to our customers. These are not mass produced casting pieces focused on maximum profits, but CNC machined billet aluminum focused on maximum horsepower.
Mitsubishi MAF Adapter
The large 4.5" bell mouth of our MAF Adapter is instantly recognized by performance enthusiasts. This design provides a smooth transition for air flow from the filter element through the MAF sensor housing and greatly reduces turbulent air. Increased air velocity through the intake system under WOT (Wide Open Throttle) conditions is achieved with our adapter because of low turbulence air through the MAF sensor housing.  With other MAF adapters you have a less than optimal air flow path with sharp corners and obtrusive surfaces that face 90 degrees to incoming air flow. These components actually create turbulence in front of the MAF screen which is designed to straighten air flow through the sensor housing.
We skipped no detail with the production of these MAF adapters, even down to machining operation. With the bell mouth design to maintain efficiency we opted for machining operations done in line with air flow direction. Doing machining operations this way leaves machine surface edges running parallel to air flow and not against it as a radial machining operation would. You can see our adapter design implements a parallel edge around the opening into the MAF screen to ensure low turbulence air flow through this part of the sensor housing, another design feature unique to BHM.

What really makes the BHM MAF Adapter stand apart from any other is its unique and truly universal application across multiple Mitsubishi vehicle platforms. The BHM MAF Adapter will produce highly efficient air flow for the 3rd Gen Eclipse, 2nd Gen Eclipse, and Evo VIII owners as we designed this to adapter to replace the air horn on the MAF sensor housing.
Our adapter makes it possible for owners to get a high flowing intake system by simply removing the air horn on their 501/482 MAF sensor housing. Install the BHM MAF Adapter and recalibrate the ECU/PCM in your vehicle for the increased MAF sizing (not necessary for Evo VIII platform). Our MAF adapter effectively converts any 501 or 482 MAF sensor to the equivalent of a 399 model's air flow capability, but with more efficiency by design. The air flow efficiency of our adapter over others is something that Evo VIII platform owners will benefit from as well.
We are currently working on flow data testing of the BHM MAF Adapter compared to others available to show owners the performance improvements with our adapter. Once we have finished product testing and data documentation these adapters will be available for purchase in our online store.
